10th Wine and Wild Food Dinner a huge success
Tuesday, Jan 21, 2020
200 appreciative diners sat down at the National Wine Centre to enjoy another Andrew Fielke five course feast with wild boar and Australian salmon the stars of the night. Richard Henschke worked brilliantly as Andrew’s protégé, and Angove Family Winemakers matched the food perfectly.
We also raised $6,500 thanks to a Greg Sparrow and Fisher Firearms who donated a Miroku Over and Under Shotgun for the raffle.
John Schutz, Chief Executive of the Department for Environment and Water (DEW), congratulated CHASA for its efforts to celebrate wild food and the motivation to conserve the natural environment, as he helped to launch the first landmark Memorandum of Understanding between DEW and CHASA. Several DEW staff were in attendance, and John sent a message of well wishes from the Minister and forecast a review of the SA Game Reserves in 2020, an announcement welcomed by CHASA.
Stay tuned for our 11th dinner later this year and the possibility of more regional wine and wild food dinners.
